Covid-19 Free and Reduced Lunch Benefit Payment

The federal Families First Coronavirus response Act of 2020 is providing Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer payments for eligible students’ families. These temporary benefits are currently available to families of school-aged children who qualify for free or reduced lunches in the amount of $5.70 for each day school has been closed since March 16, 2020. Benefits will be issued in phases beginning in May. Please note, even those student families that had not previously received free and reduced lunches may now sign up and receive graduated benefits as the state encourages participation considering changes in household income due to the loss of jobs or reduction in pay. To expedite the benefits, families are encouraged to complete an online application instead of a paper application if able. The online application has the same requirements and will ask for the same information as the paper application.

Please note that if your family was previously receiving free or reduced lunches during the 19/20 school year your application will automatically process and no action is required.
